This front building on a typical Kreuzberg lot with street-side apartments and offices in a converted factory area in the back was reconstructed after damage from a major fire. Completely redesigned to meet contemporary living standards, the new construction includes an architecturally uncommon addition of a new storey under the roof.
The street facade and two-storey roof structure with horizontal stripes create a unified design language and combine the practical requirements of an energy-efficient renovation with high aesthetic standards.
